week 7 




1-significance
Definition: importance or meaning of something .  
Part of speech: noun .
Sentence: We have learn learned about the significance of organic food .
Collocation: wider significance  .


2-rely on
Definition: to depend confidently , put trust in .
Part of speech: verb.
Sentence: You can rely on the dictionary to find word meanings.
Collocation: relies heavily .


3-  consistent
Definition: holding firmly together , agreeing .
Part of speech: adjective  .
Sentence: The student wasn't consistent ,and changed hi answers many times .
Collocation: consistent improvement  .


4-creative
Definition: resulting from originality of thought, expression , etc...
Part of speech: adjective.
Sentence: My friend is creative with her drawings .
Collocation: creative artist.


5-accurately
Definition: free from error or defect , careful.
Part of speech: adjective .
Sentence: I cant calculate accurately the bill of today’s lunch .
Collocation: accurate estimate  .


6-select  
Definition: to choose in preference to another or pick out .
Part of speech: verb .
Sentence: I have a hard time selecting what to eat for dinner  .
Collocation: randomly selected  .


7-assumption
Definition: something taken for granted ; a supposition or logic  .
Part of speech: noun.
Sentence: I was right with my assumption about the test’s difficulty .
Collocation: shared assumptions .


8- period  
Definition: any specified portion of time.
Part of speech:noun.
Sentence: I had a short period of sleep last night because of my homework .
Collocation: fixed period.


9-motivate
Definition : to bring , cause , inspire , provoke   .
Part of speech: verb.
Sentence: Teachers can motivate their students and help them decide what to be in the future.
Collocation: ultimate motivation .


10-theoretically
Definition: given to , forming dealing with theories or existing only in theories .
Part of speech: verb.
Sentence: Theoretically, humans could live on the planet mars   .
Collocation: theoretically accurate .
